orange & orange.. really?

What can I say..
the kid loves orange, so when he requested these two yarns and in this exact striped pattern as well, I just said Okay and went for it.
As it turns out, this beanie has become one of my most favorite things to see
him wear, go figure. Next up, matching mittens
..hopefully before the New Year.

new shirt for me

Yay me!

.. so remember these awesome vintage pillowcases?

I just put the finishing touches on this little cutie. Yes, there's nothing quite like a nice summer shirt to bring in the holiday season I say.

Summer ..I love you, you are still in my heart always.

crafting like crazy

Holidays are always busy with all the gift making that goes on around here. This year there will also be craft fairs added to the agenda, that said our house has been temporarily turned into a mini factory as Evan calls it. There are trees, tomatoes, mittens, peppermint sticks, mushrooms ,carrots, gingerbread people, mini rabbits and lots of yarn on every flat surface available , and all in various stages of construction. That's only the felted sweater things, there are a bunches of re-purposed fabric items ready to go and waiting in the wings.

lots and lots

There is a whole flock of these cuties just waiting for the finishing touches. Sneaking in the time to knit up these tiny heads, ears and legs has been tricky. Knitting anything with size zero needles can be challenging, but I just have to knit these in the round, you know ...to make it really interesting. So it is taking me a bit longer than I expected,
but it has just made me love these little guys that much more.

I have completed a set each of Blonde and the traditional Black,
and it only took just under two months,Hooray!

... now only eight more to go..

Happy Knitting Everyone!

:: Thanks for the size reference Pumpkin, I can always count on you! ::

monkeys

I have finally completed my little monkey set of mama and baby.
Created from an accidental felting of an adorable wool skirt of mine.I've had mama made and just sitting around, oh for about a year or so
and now they're a complete set.
It's so nice to have them both finished, and not to mention
crossing one more thing off that endless to do list.
::slight interruption::
Our kitty Pumpkin felt it necessary to investigate
just what could be so interesting up in her tree.

Okay wait, hold right there.. okay got it!

Thanks Pumpkin that's much better!
