family field trip

As we navigate our way around these new surroundings and begin to find a new rhythm to our days at home together, I have found a new kind of ritual beginning to take root. Family field trips, they can be as simple as a trip to the grocery store together, or as wonderful and exciting as a trip to a neighboring town and a whole field devoted entirely to tulips.
The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

Taking our time to enjoy the different attractions that were set up there for the little ones in the group was first on the list. Then, on to the fields, where rows and rows of color stretched out before us.  The day was especially warm, and in the middle of a tulip field with out any sun hats we were all getting a bit overheated. So, after a few quick photos, we headed back for shade and water.

but, not without.. just one more sniff, for the road...
